the attention of management of the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwash-uku has been drawn to the online article published on the Daily Post Newspaper, dated 18th December 2018, with the title “Sex-for-Marks:Female students decry sexual harassment in Delta [email protected]
the management wishes to state categorically, that the said article winch was written by one Owen Akenzua is but fictitious, malicious and an attempt by miscreants to drag the good image of the polytechnic to the mud.
a critical examination of this wicked article reveals alien names, false allegations and desperate moves by the enemies of the PRO polytechnic. it is on record that the name mentioned as the PRO of the institution is unknown to Management, and the Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic never granted any form of interview with Dialy Post Newspaper as claimed by the author of the mischievous article.
similarly, the Rector of the Polytechnic whose name is unfamiliar to writer, has an open door policy as well as easily accessible by both staff and students. the erroneous representation of these names only goes to show how uniformed the writer of this evil-oriented article is with happenings at the Polytechnic.
1. Moreover, the present Management under the leadership of Professor (Mrs.) Stella Chinye Chiemeke has zero-tolerance for sexual harassment, immortality and exploitation of the students in any guise by lecturers or other staff. the Rector in addition to pursuing zero-tolerance for students harassment`s, has good working relationship with students.Management has a standing committee comprising of men and women of high standing, to receive complains of students harassment’s at the polytechnic. the committee has been very effective in investigating and preventing cases of sexual or any other forms of harassment’s.
