The Rector, Professor (Mrs) Stella Chinye Chiemeke has on Monday 17th august, 2020 declared the ADAPTI staff training workshop on ICT open.
At the opening ceremony held at the polytechnic ICT complex, the rector who was represented by the registrar, Mrs F.N Nweke , called on the participants to embrace the training ADVANCED DIGITAL APPRECIATION PROGRAMME FOR TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS (ADAPTI) under the auspices of NCC, and take it to heart. She said the workshop is part of managements strategy to train and retrain the polytechnics workforce for optimal performance. She said the lockdown occasioned by the covid-19 pandemic has caused loss of time, pains , difficulties etc “it is therefore necessary to adopt the world best practice in administration , research teaching /learning and infact , every aspect of life “ she added
In contribution the bursar of the polytechnic me Raymond Izukwe advised participants to go through the pains of thorough learning and training in order to master the skills and knowledge afforded by the workshop, saying theta the gains of participation is the ability to mount and demonstrate the knowledge acquired at the workshop.
Earlier the director of ICT Mrs Obaro Emma-osiebe while welcoming participants and the resource persons ( from digital bridge institute) reminded the participants to strictly observe the rules guiding classroom scenario as absenteeism and other forms of distraction will not be entertained adding that only those who passed the exams at the end of the training shall be awarded certificates. The highlight of the ceremony was the declaration of the workshop open by the registrar.
Present at the ceremony were deans, directors, heads of departments and the polytechnic s public relations officer, Mr Manfred l. Oyibogbeye.
