The 2020 DSPG SUG/NADESTU election was for the first time done via electronic voting. The voting exercise kicked off at 9am with all observers’ agents and electoral committee seated to monitor and observe the whole process from an interactive screen at the schools ICT centre.
The election process was witnessed by the special adviser to the state governor on student’s affairs who came around to observe the election process in a bid to grant feedback to the state governor on the efficiency of the whole process. Members of the Nation Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) and Nation Association of Nigerian Students Excos were also present.
The voting process ended at 1pm, and the results of the election was announced by the Dean of students affairs Mr Chijine and the Rector went ahead to address and thank the observers for a successful election exercise.
