Dr (Mrs) Erere Joy Anho is a seasoned academic and administrator. She currently serves as a Chief Lecturer, Department of Mass Communication and the Deputy Rector at the Delta State polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, where she has contributed immensely to the academic and administrative development of the institution since 2004.
Dr Anho holds a Ph.D and M.A. in Mass Communication, with specialization in broadcast Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She also earned a B.A. in Mass Communication from the Delta State University, Abraka and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Her academic journey has seen her rise through the ranks – From Assistant Lecturer to Chief Lecturer – demonstrating a commitment to teaching, research and mentorship. She began her career as an Information Officer with the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Asaba before moving to academics.
Professionally, she is an active and committed member of the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Advertising practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
Dr Anho has held several significant administrative and leadership positions, such as Head, Department of Mass Communication, Congregation Representative in the institution’s Governing Council, and Chairperson of many strategic academic committees. She has also served as resource person to National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and as a guest lecturer at various professional forums.
As a prolific scholar, Dr Anho has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and books in various areas of mass communication. She is widely respected for her scholarly contributions and continues to participate actively in both national and international conferences.
