At about 10am, the event kicked-off with the school P.R.O addressing the students present at the venue and occupying them with a brief history of the Institution and it’s operations till the arrival of the school`s management team.
The National Anthem was thereafter recited followed by a formal introduction of the management staff present, which included the Polytechnic Registrar (Mrs. Nweke Flowrence), Bursar (Mr. Izukwe Raymond), Librarian (Dr. Alex Obuh), Dean of Students , Director of ICT unit (Mrs. Emma-Osiebe Obaro) and some H.O.D`s of the polytechnic.
The principal members of management staff present, gave the students a series of robust orientation and enlightenment on the goings within the campus and the existing rules and regulations that is expected to guide and propagate their conduct, all through their studentship on campus.
The Rector of the institute delivered a heart-rendering address to the students present for the event, which was accompanied with a ‘charge’ by the D.G of Delta State Orientation Bureau Bar. Eugene Azuka Uzum on the students to shun cultism and every other unthinkable vice associated with youthful exuberance.
