Engr. Dr. Ochuko Goodluck Utu serves as Director of the Skills Development Centre at Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku. He is a Principal Lecturer with academic and professional experience in welding and fabrication, mechanical engineering, metallurgy and materials engineering.

He obtained his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma from the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun. He later earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Design, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli.

Engr. Dr. Utu is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Nigerian Metallurgical Society and the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Welding.

As Director of the Skills Development Centre, he provides leadership for technical and vocational development initiatives intended to strengthen practical competence, professional readiness and industry-relevant skills.
