Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku is set to commence the much-anticipated Rector’s Cup 2026 Football Competition on 25th May 2026.

The tournament, organized by Comr. Onotu Ifeanyi Daniel, the SUG Director of Sport (DOS), is aimed at promoting unity, talent discovery, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students of the Polytechnic.

With the theme “Unity. Talent. Sportsmanship. One Polytechnic!”, the Rector’s Cup promises to bring together students, football lovers, supporters, and stakeholders within the Polytechnic community for an exciting display of skill, teamwork, discipline, and passion for the game.

The competition is expected to serve as a platform for students to showcase their sporting abilities while strengthening friendship, cooperation, and unity across departments and faculties.

Students and supporters are encouraged to come out in large numbers to cheer their teams and enjoy the thrilling football action.
